What's inside
The pack is built around outcomes, consequences, asset-budget decisions, and quarter-over-quarter memory.
- Executive summary that leads with outcomes — Explain what the quarter meant for the client's business and preview the decision you will ask for.
- A service scorecard with a consequence column — Keep five to seven repeatable metrics and explain what each means for the client.
- The commitments ledger — Record recommendation, date, business impact, estimated cost, and Proposed, Approved, Declined, or Done status.
- Asset and lifecycle section — Attach a replacement quarter and estimated cost to every red row.
- An appendix — Keep raw ticket, asset, patch, and backup detail auditable without consuming the meeting.
Running the meeting: the 60-minute QBR agenda
A QBR is a business meeting, not a support review. Park troubleshooting in a ticket and ensure a decision-maker attends.
- 0:00–0:10 — Wins and service scorecard: outcomes first, metrics second.
- 0:10–0:20 — What changed in the client's environment.
- 0:20–0:30 — Review every commitment from the prior quarter.
- 0:30–0:50 — Recommendations and budget, with business impact and price.
- 0:50–1:00 — Read decisions back, assign one owner and date, and book the next QBR.
The honest part
These templates work, but the hand is the problem: scorecards need fresh PSA numbers, ticket sheets need exports, and the commitment ledger needs last quarter's memory. QBR Studio automates that assembly and carries it forward.
Keep recommendations reviewed and evidence explicit
QBR Studio computes service metrics and drafts client-facing summaries from connected data. Your MSP reviews the evidence, chooses every recommendation, and approves the final report before a client sees it.
What MSP teams usually ask
Are the QBR template downloads really ungated?
Yes. The Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, and agenda files are direct downloads. There is no form, email field, or follow-up sequence.
Which file should I use in the meeting?
Use the PowerPoint deck for the conversation, the Word or PDF report for the client-ready document, and the Excel workbook as the auditable appendix and ongoing commitment ledger.
Does the deck work in Google Slides?
Yes. Upload the .pptx to Google Drive, or use File → Import slides in Google Slides. It converts cleanly without a separate Slides file.
